We had a great week and there are lots of things to be grateful for...
1. Parker learned the "army crawl." He now scoots himself on his stomach all around and is starting to discover many new things. We started noticing that he could do it the other night and decided to see how far he would go. What was the motivation you might wonder? A plate of all things. For some reason he wanted the plate (we did make sure to get a clean one!) He started off in the front room and eventually made it all the way to his bedroom. He was distracted a few times by the lamp, wall, and a few other interesting items...but this was definitely an accomplishment. Today he discovered how many other interesting things there are in the house like the x-box, cd player, tables, and the computer. I guess that it is time to baby proof :)
2. I am thankful for an apartment with a swimming pool. This week gave me a glimpse of how quickly the summer is approaching. You know that it is going to be a hot summer when it reaches 95 degrees in March. I don't mind yet because we had a few great days at the pool (even though the water is a little cool...it won't take long to warm up!) Parker LOVES the pool. He loves to splash his feet and now loves to sit like a "big boy" on the steps. I better watch out though because this kid is fearless around water!
3. I enjoyed a relaxing day reading a new book that my mom recommended to me. I love when I can find a quick read and put up my feet and relax. Reading is definitely one of my favorite things to do.
4. We enjoyed a great St. Patrick's Day dinner today (a day late). We enjoyed green soup, green bread, and green Limeade pie. Parker LOVED the green soup. He has definitely decided that grownup food is so much better than baby food. Can you blame him?!
5. I got my first flat tire while driving yesterday and I was so grateful that I was on a residential road. I don't want a flat tire on a freeway! I am thankful that Rich could get off work to come change my tire and get it fixed. That could have been difficult to try to change a tire and take care of Parker at the same time. Luckily, it was a slow day at work and he was able to leave for a little bit. What a great husband!
6. I had a great time spending time with some of my friends with this week...We enjoyed going to the zoo and swimming a couple of times. I really enjoy getting together with people so that I have another adult to talk to once in awhile. It helps me from talking to myself too much :)
7. We went on a Sunday afternoon walk today as a family. It was great to put Parker in his stroller and get outside. Hopefully one of these days he will start to like his stroller better.
All in all, it was a great week. We love the spring and all of the fun things there are to do!

What a great list Becca! So glad you got to do so many fun things this week! I am missing that stage in life. I get to do lots of things, but they don't sound near as fun as what you're doing :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day - a few days late! Parker looks so cute in his shirt :) His hair is really lightening up - must be from the days at the pool - you are so lucky :)
Thanks for joining in!
