Before Parker's birthday, I was asked if I was going to let him smash the cake. I hadn't ever heard of this tradition and I still wasn't sure if I was going to let him. However, when I started to light the candle, Parker had different plans in mind. He was reaching right for the cupcakes and wanted to smash them. It was so funny that I decided that he could have a cupcake for himself. He thought it was so funny to smash the cake and then try to feed himself. We quickly moved into the kitchen to keep the mess down. He truly enjoyed his birthday cake!

I'm glad Parker had such a good time on his birthday! He is so cute and getting so big! Linc can't wait to hang out with him-he told me. Let's try to get together this fall sometime.
Yes - the cake tradition :) Looks like Parker really liked it! Hope he had a wonderful birthday! I can't believe he is ONE already!!!
