Backyard Fun!

It was so nice to be able to sit outside and play in the backyard while we were in Utah. It has been so hot here lately that I just don't want to spend much time outside (It is officially the hottest summer in Arizona this year because there were the most consecutive days over 110 degrees ever!) Parker loved crawling on the grass, chasing balls, and swinging in the swing.

I have many fond memories of playing in my backyard when I was growing up. I spent hours swinging on the swings or crossing the monkey bars on our playground. On one such occasion, I tried showing off and even broke my arm. We spent countless summer afternoons slipping on the slippin' slide or putting the hose down the real slide. We loved playing baseball or basketball for Family Home Evening. There are memories of canning peaches on the back patio, dancing at siblings weddings, family parties, playing in the sandbox, family Olympics, homemade ice cream, and playing games around the table. These are just a few memories of my backyard that I will hold on to when my parents sell their house!

Good to see your back! I've been wondering what you guys were up to. Parker is cuter than ever! I wonder when we'll get to see you guys again?!
