Play Time!

After all of the hard work of moving, Parker was excited to have some time to play. He has started to figure out how to actually play with some of his toys. He loves to build towers and knock them over, zoom cars around the house, try to put rings on, put blocks in a toy, play pass, and sort things. He especially loves cruisin' around the house with his walker. The other day, he put as many toys as he could fit in the front of the walker and then took them for a ride around the house. He was very proud of himself for figuring it out. Parker has really started to take an interest in other children as well. He will stare at them and try to copy what they are doing. Maybe that is why he "plays" more now. Still, his favorite thing to do is push things around the house. He loves to push toys, chairs, paper, clothes...you name it. He just loves anything that will move fast on the tile. Parker is also starting understand more and more each day. Yesterday, Rich told Parker to go get his football. I was surprised to see him crawl all the way to his room and find his ball. I thought that he would give up if it wasn't in view. Boy, was I wrong! I am constantly amazed by how much children learn. They change so fast and learn so much from observation. Parker is definitely starting to get into the mimicking stage. My favorite thing that he tries to copy is snapping. When I snap my fingers, he tries to move his fingers just the same way. It is adorable. It is definitely fun to see him discover new things every day!

I love how expressive Parker's face is in these pictures. Especially his exaggerated smile in the last photo.
