Parker is absolutely obsessed with his stuffed zebra. This zebra was one that I used to decorate my jungle-like classroom as a teacher. Therefore, it is much larger than Parker. He loves to cuddle with it. Whenever we ask him where his zebra is, he will go and get it and then flop right down on top of it to cuddle with.
Therefore, I was very curious with how he would react when he saw a real zebra. Yesterday, I went to the zoo with my friend Katie and her baby Lance. I haven't been to the zoo for a few months because it was just TOO hot during the summer. Of course, it was quite the adventure because we got to the zoo around 11:30. Outside the entrance, there were signs that the zoo was going to close at 12:00 to set up for an event. We were disappointed, but decided to go in for a short time anyway (since I have a pass). The man at the gate told us to stay until we were kicked out, so we were lucky enought to actually stay until about 12:45. Anyway, with such a short amount of time, I wanted to make sure to see the zebras with Parker.
When we got to the zebras, I pointed to them and told Parker to look at the zebras. At first, he looked all around (definitely looking for his stuffed zebra). Finally, he noticed the zebras - but he definitely likes his stuffed zebra MUCH better for right now.
We had a great time at the zoo. Parker's favorite part was the big tractor that is in the children's area.
He LOVED playing on it. Apparently, I took him off way to soon because he wanted more. Parker loves wheels and thought that it was pretty cool to turn the steering wheel on the tractor. We even found a miniature tractor just his size!
In the end, Parker decided that pushing Lance in his stroller was best of all! He is so fascinated by Lance and will sit and stare at him...something about little kids :) We had a great time and are loving that it is FALL!!!

The Pheonix zoo is one of my favorites. Glad you found a day that was barable to go.
It has still been in the 90's here. I think you've inspired me to go to the zoo, but I might wait a little longer. I'm thinking about going to some water play parks this week before they close and while it's still hot. It seems like it never cools down here. On that note, aren't you excited to come visit??? I actually am really excited. I hope were not just making pretend plans. see ya, ash
Parker is so cute. What a darling zebra. It looks like you had a great time. I'm glad the temperature is dropping a bit for you!
Parker is so cute and getting so big! I am jealous of your continued warm weather in Arizona...for some reason cold has become unbearable for me. Maybe Ty and I will have to start looking jobs down there!
