Utah (the final chapter....)

Day 7: Temple, Games, Packing & Unpacking, & the Setting Apart

We always make sure to fit in the temple when we go to Utah because we have a babysitter and it is much closer. We spent the morning at the temple and then spent the afternoon helping Lisa pack up and get ready to go. Luckily, we managed to fit a few games in here and there. What can we say, we love games! Parker made sure to help and was trying to help Lisa make her suitcases lighter by taking items out! It was neat to be able to go to Lisa's setting apart as she officially became Hermana Tate!
Day 8: MTC, Art Museum, Games, & Fly Home
We took Lisa to the MTC. At first she was worried that she had too much, but soon found that all of the missionaries had just as much as she did. How do you really pack for 18 months? She
somehow managed and was very excited to enter the MTC. (maybe a little too excited as she was kindly reminded to have dignity!)

She had almost as many kids to see her off as adults with 7 of her nieces and nephews there. We
had Grandma Broadbent, Mom, Dad, Amy (Tucker/Ella), Mary (Katelyn/Elizabeth), Andrea (Abbie/Ethan), Rich, Becca (Parker). I love the spirit of the MTC as we all sing "Called to Serve" together. It was wonderful to think about all of the missionaries that are serving all over the world. We will miss her, but we know that she will be a wonderful missionary!

The Flight Home
The flight home was eventful given that we all came home with great souveniers from Utah - colds! Parker decided to cry most of the flight home (poor thing). We survived and now are spending our time trying to get better. It's always nice to come back to our warm Phoenix temperatures!

It was fun to see all the pictures. You are so photogenic. I love the ones of Parker in the leaves and with Rich. I'm glad we got to see you a couple times--thanks for taking time for us. I know it's crazy when you come in town.
