Our First Christmas Card

Dear Family and Friends,

For years we have debated with our niece Emma the answer to one simple question: What makes a grownup? Is it going to college? Getting married? Having a child? Buying a house? What? This year I have one more to add to the list…sending out the first family Christmas Card. That definitely falls in to the “grownup” description! If we weren’t grownup before, we definitely are now. So, here’s to our first official Christmas Card!

This year has been a busy year for our family (aren’t they all?). We made several trips to Utah for vacation, weddings, and a farewell. It is always fun to be able to go up there and see family. We also loved having friends and family come visit us. Who’s coming next? We really have loved living in Arizona. We have made some wonderful friends and had some great opportunities down here.

Rich keeps himself busy as he is now half way through pharmacy school! His days normally consist of school, work, & studying. Then, he starts all over the next day. When he does manage to get some free time, however, he enjoys following his passion for sports by playing and watching sports (even if this means hurting his shoulder by playing ward softball and the Wii). He also loves hanging out with his little man, playing games, & spending time with family and friends.

Becca stays busy running after Parker all day long. She has also really started enjoying digital scrapbooking, making videos, & blogging (
http://www.beccabishop.blogspot.com/). She loves any chance she has to spend time with family and enjoyed several trips to Utah and a vacation in New York this past Summer. She loves reading, swimming, getting to stay home and be a mom, and any moment she can spend with Rich!

Parker has definitely changed the most in this past year. He loves the new freedom of walking and climbing. He can often be found trying to climb on chairs, benches, & the couch. He loves to mimic his Mommy and Daddy. This means that he walks around with the phone to his ear “talking,” types on the computer, “reads” books, “plays” x-box, “runs” on the treadmill, and even “dances.” He learns new things of the time and claps for himself when he does because he is so proud. It has been a joy to watch him grow so much this past year.

We have had a memorable 2007 and look forward to many more exciting adventures in 2008 now that we’re all “grownup!” We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas.

Love Always: Rich, Becca, & Parker Bishop
