Every once in awhile, I decide to be a good mom and introduce Parker to something new. Last night, we had just gotten back from swimming and I thought that instead of giving Parker a normal bath, I would let him have a bubble bath instead. I had never done this before and thought this would be fun, right? WRONG. Parker did NOT like the bubble bath because the bubbles stuck to him. He gave him his puppy dog look as he tried to remove all of the bubbles from his arms. It was as if he was saying, "What were you thinking?"
I guess that this shouldn't surprise me because Parker has issues with things on him. Every time we go to story time, they put a stamp on his hand. He then proceeds to spend the next 10 minutes trying to take it off (as if it was a sticker). Instead, all he gets is a red hand and a stamp that is still there.
2nd, he hates when flowers, leaves, or grass get in our little blow up pool. Let's face it, it is inevitable in a kiddie pool to get those things in the pool because you are in and out all of the time. Every time a flower or piece of grass touches him, he won't do anything until it is off.
3rd...on days that he is wearing a long sleeve shirt or sweater, he gets very upset if the sleeves go beyond his arm and dare to touch part of his hand. It is a must for me to roll up his sleeves so that they don't touch his hand at all. (He is the same way if his pants are too long!)
4th, It takes awhile to get used to the feel of sand. Once I coax him to start playing, he is okay...but he doesn't like the initial feel of it.
I guess that now we have one more to add to the list - bubble baths. I guess that this is just one of those little quirks about him and we'll see if it sticks :)

That's so funny because I gave Preston a bubble bath and he did the same thing! He kept flapping his arms to try and get the bubbles off.
How funny. I have never tried bubble baths with James. I should. He loves bubbles, so he might enjoy a bubble bath - who knows. I think the list of things that bug him are great. It is so interesting how certain kids react to different things.
I gave Hayden a bubble bath a few weeks ago thinking that I was being so nice (I even put in extra bubbles). He didn't like it at all.
LOL - gotta love those quirks ;) I would have to say that Hunter is the same way about clothes sometimes, except he hates it when they are too loose :)
We love your little guy - Hunter loves to look at pictures of Parker! Wish you lived closer!
