Parker's Birthday Party

We had a small birthday party with a few friends to celebrate Parker turning 2. The theme was his favorite thing the whole world - BALLS. Being a 2 year old party, I wanted to make sure to keep it very simple. The Party games included:

1. Playing in the ball pit (Thanks G&G Bishop!)

2. Shooting a basketball in the hoop

3. Kicking a soccer ball through the cones

4. Playing with the parachute

5. Hitting balloons with ball plates

6. Throwing a football to the football player7. Hitting a baseball off the tee

Even the Dads enjoyed joining in some of this fun as they tried to do the tasks as well!

CAKE TIME!

After playing games, we had lunch...pizza, fruit, and drinks. Then, Parker got to blow out his candles on his birthday cake. He loved looking at the "basketball!" I also made baseball and football cupcakes - way too much cake, but lots of fun!

Parker especially loved that he got to eat his football cupcake all by himself :)

PRESENTS!!!

Parker was spoiled with the things he loves best - balls, trucks, and dress-ups. Yes, you heard me right. After the whole "Cinderella" dress up thing, our friend Ray decided that Parker needed pretty princess clothes. He joked that he was going to do it, but I didn't think that he was serious. So, you can imagine our surprise when Parker opened the Princess outfit. Of course, we was excited to put it right on...

After Parker fully enjoyed his Princess dressups - they gave him his real present, a basketball outfit (jersey and shorts). He immediately wanted to put these on as well, so he became a basketball player with a little bling!

The Party Favors

It was a fun way to celebrate our little man turning 2! Thanks for all those who made it such a fun day!

What a fun party! How did you make that cake? I may have to copy your ideas for James' 3rd birthday.

I know you said it was going to be a simple party, but I would like to see what happens when you go all out! That looked like an awesome party. I'm totally copying for when Linc turns two. Your pics from vacation look really good. Oh, we've also introduced the bean game to some people and they are hooked. :)
