Monkey Man

It may be minutes before the turkey is to go in the oven, but hey - it's before Thanksgiving, right? (Can I say procrastinator???) Anyway, this year for Halloween, Parker was a monkey. It was the perfect costume for him because he absolutely adores "ah ah" (the name of his monkey) and Curious George. A monkey sound was one of the first animal sounds he ever made. We even taught him how to bang his chest and say "Ah ah ah."

We had a fun time at a few different Halloween Parties this year. Of course we LOVED our trunk-or-treat party...gotta love getting candy from car to car. Parker was really good at saying "Trick-or-treat" (thanks to our Halloween prep of teaching him to like his costume and to knock on the door...no, I'm not kidding!) We also went to a small party at Rich's school and then had our traditional Halloween festivities on Halloween. It wouldn't be Halloween without pumpkin stew and homemade donuts! We definitely loved Halloween - but now we are ready for THANKSGIVING (Today!!!)
