A day with the Scotts

One of the benefits of my brother-in-law being a pilot is that Andrea and her kids can all fly for free. For months, I have been telling Andrea she should come and visit me and she finally found some time to come. In March, Andrea brought her two girls Maggie and Abbie for a short 36 hour visit. It was a much needed visit and I LOVED spending some time with them. It may have been a short trip, but we managed to have a TON of fun! Thanks to Dave for watching the boys so we could have this fun time together! Sorry to those who read Andrea's blog because these pictures are all from her...so you get a repeat :)

We picked them up first thing in the morning and headed to the Children's Museum. We had a great time showing them around one of our favorite places down here. Parker loved having his cousins to play with at the museum. It also was even more relaxing than normal because Maggie and Abbie enjoyed helping Parker do different things :) What great cousins!

The Art Room

The museum always offers a variety of arts and craft projects. I love that it changes so often because each time is a little different!

The Car Wash

Parker always loves the tricycles and cars to ride on. This time was even better because Maggie took him for a ride!

Pizza Parlor

Maggie and Parker enjoyed making pizzas in the fun brick oven. I even got to "eat" what they made!

After the children's museum, we went and found a park to have a picnic in. The kids had a great time looking at the ducks and feeding them some extra food.

After our picnic, we spent the afternoon swimming at the Biltmore. This was a perfect way to cool off and let the Scotts enjoy some of the benefits of Arizona - warm weather. Then, we headed home for dinner at Applebee's, cookies, performances, & a wii party.

The next morning, we had fun playing around the house before they had to get on the airplane to go home. The girls taught Parker how to play hide n' seek. It was so funny to watch him hide in the house. Most of the time, he got to excited and started calling for you so that you would find him. Once he started understanding how to hide, he hid in the same spot over and over again. This has definitely become one of his favorite games to play! Thanks for teaching him!

Before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye. Time definitely flew by, but we were so lucky to have 36 hours with some of our favorite people. We can't wait to live closer to you guys soon!
