We found some silk ties at the DI and cut out the lining so it was just the silk
Next, we wrapped the pieces of tie around raw eggs
Next, we cut up a white pillow case and wrapped these around the silk eggs.
Then, we boiled them in a mixture of water and vinegar
Finally, we let them cool and off and uncovered the eggs to see our creations....
For our first attempt, they turned out alright...but we definitely learned some things to help us try again next year! Happy Egg Dying!

We did that two years ago. One think that makes a difference is how tightly the eggs are wrapped. They need to be way tight. And bright ties work best.
