All About Parker (3 year old edition)

Hair Color: Blonde (but not quite as white blonde as before)
Weight: 32.2 lbs (57th percentile)
Height: 38.5 (76th percentile)

Favorite Foods: Macaroni n' cheese, pasta, quesadillas with dip, mandarin oranges, turkey sandwiches, and grapes.

Favorite Toys: CARS. Cars have officially overtaken balls (but balls are still a close second). Parker is obsessed with cars and probably plays with them 3-4 hours a day. He insists on sleeping with them and even has a few favorites that he must have. He also loves basketball, trains, pegs, and blocks. However, if you want to make his day - give him a CAR!

Favorite Books: Parker absolutely LOVES my pop up books (aka special books), Curious George, and anything with cars or trains.

Biggest Fears: Loud noises and having the light turned out when he goes to bed. I don't know that I would classify this as being scared of the dark though because he doesn't mind going in dark rooms. I think it is more that he wants to play in bed :)

Favorite songs: The Wheels on the Bus and The Three Billy Goats Gruff (trust me, I know...I got to listen to them many times on our move!)

Favorite non-toys: The computer, the TV, and most recently the garbage can. (He likes to pretend that he is the garbage man!)

What he's doing now: Sleeping!

Things Parker Mimics: Everything. Watch what you say around him...even when you don't think he is listening, he surprises us :) Now that he has an imagination, he often pretends to be a mailman, a pharmacist, a fireman, and a garbage truck driver. Really, he copies whatever he sees that day including babies, dogs, cats, carpet cleaners, movers, etc. He definitely is becoming very imaginative.

Favorite Games: Hide and Go Seek and Ring around the Rosies. I love playing hide and go seek with him because he always hides in the same place. Then, he laughs when you get close to him. If you say something like, "Is Parker in the toy room," he will answer the question. It is definitely a riot to play this game with a 3 year old!

Soothers: Will this one ever end??? The answer would have to be sucking his thumb and rubbing his belly at the same time. We are working on it though...In fact, today I caught him telling Braden to be a big boy and not suck his thumb. I guess he is listening to me after all! Besides those two things, Parker is still my little cuddler and always wants hugs and cuddles from his mom :)

Mischievous Things He's done lately: He's 3 - what hasn't he done??? The major things include jumping on and tackling Braden, sitting on Braden, tipping Braden's car seat over...basically anything to do with his brother because he knows that will get our attention fast!

Least Favorite Things: Being by himself, having the light turned out at bed time, and not getting the attention that he wants.

Sleep Schedule: Parker sleeps about 11-12 hours at night, usually about 8:00-7:30. He then takes about a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. I am so happy that he still does this!!! I know it probably won't last much longer, but I'll savor the moment for now!

Favorite People: Mommy, Daddy, Braden, Grandma, Grandpa, Morty and Angie, his cousins, and any person that will pay attention to him. He really wants friends!

Favorite T.V. Shows: Cailou, Curious George, Little Einsteins, Clifford, and Sesame Street

Best Features: His dimples, blond hair, and big blue eyes.

Latest Accomplishments: Knows most of his letters, can count to 5 and sometimes 10, knows all of his colors, learned how to say "P" and "B" at the beginning of words, jumps off things, climbs the ladder at the park, and goes down the slide by himself. These last 3 are all thanks to him wearing glasses! He is much better with depth perception and is learning these new things.
