A New Car

Soon after Braden was born, it quickly became apparent that our little 2 door civic was not going to cut it anymore. 2 car seats and 2 strollers quickly fill up the small space that there is in the car. We started looking for a new car and figured we would sell Rich's civic (after much debate!). He was sad to let that one go. We were planning on listing his car on Friday morning (May 29th). Well, Thursday night on Rich's way home from work, his car started making a horrible sound. Let me add that we haven't had any problems in the 6 years. The problem...the AC clutch.

At this point, we realized that it wasn't worth it to put the money in to fix it. So, the next day, we went and bought a new car and said goodbye to our first car together...our good old white Honda civic.

Luckily, we didn't have too much buyers' remorse because we LOVE our new Honda Pilot. Parker kept calling it "his car" or his "big car." It was definitely a very fun event for him, probably more memorable than his actual birthday that was the next day. I think he thought that the car was his present. My mom says to make sure I remind him of that when he is older and wants a car...I can just tell him that we already bought him a car when he was 3!
