Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a quiet night at home (with a little bit of excitement from our 3 year old...just wait until next year, right?!) We decorated cookies for Santa. Then, we got all dressed up and took pictures and ate a Christmas Eve feast. We then let everyone open one Christmas Eve present of pajamas and new Christmas books. We put pajamas on and read our new Christmas books by the fire. Then, it was time to hang the stockings and leave out treats for Santa and his reindeer. I love this age and all of the excitement that Parker adds. He was so cute in wanting to include Braden and get him excited for Santa. It was magical!

A treat for Santa and his reindeer, of course!
Then off the boys went to their beds to await Santa's arrival! The boys slept great. I, on the other hand, could not sleep. I am a kid at heart and I wanted to capture every moment. I was so worried that Parker would wake up and go see his presents without us that I spent most of the night half asleep listening for him. I just wanted to be able to capture the whole thing. Rich confessed that he, too, was restless because he wanted it to be perfect for me...so he was listening for Parker as well. Luckily, it all turned out and we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. Stay tuned...
