Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful and quiet Christmas. I loved how the boys were so excited and Parker understood what Christmas was about. I am definitely a kid at heart and can't sleep on Christmas Eve. This year I slept upstairs and told Parker to come to the guest room when he woke up. That helped a little so that I wasn't stressed all night that he would wake up and go downstairs to see his toys without me. I just want to be their to see the magic of the moment the kids see that Santa came. :)

So, here they are waiting to go see the what Santa brought. I didn't make them wait as long as I had to growing up. I remember the agonizing wait that we went through each Christmas Morning (it definitely added to the fun anticipation though!) We would spend all night watching movies and waited until that clock turned 7:00 AM so that we could sing to my parents to wake them up. Then, we had to go downstairs and eat breakfast, wait for my dad to get ready (which always seemed like and eternity), and then go in one at a time while my dad was of course making "ooh's and ahhh's). Oh how I loved it.

For these boys, they simply had to wait for a few pictures and then they could see if Santa came!Luckily, they were not disappointed. Parker was thrilled that his requests were filled...a cement truck and a crane. Success! Braden went straight to his Buzz 4-wheeler and started saying Buzz. I love these ages because they are perfectly content!
Parker was sweet as ever and with every present pronounced, "It's just what I always wanted!" Can we just keep them this age and never let them grow up?!Braden loved unwrapping the presents, following his brother around, and playing with his new toys. One funny moment was that Parker gave him Elmo TMX for Christmas. Braden was thrilled and wanted to push the button. However, whenever it would go, he would get a scared look and start scooting back. However, he kept going back...hoping for a different result! We ended the day with te stockings...we always save those for last. Again, Parker was excited about everything and couldn't stop giggling about the fact that Santa gave him socks in his stockings. He kept saying, "Santa is so silly!" So, Christmas is over for another year. We had a magical Christmas at home and loved every minute of it! Merry Christmas!
