Happy Father's Day! We are so lucky to have such great fathers and grandpas in our lives. Parked loves all of the attention that he gets from his Grandpas when they come to visit! Thanks for being so great.
Rich is definitely Parker's best friend these days. Parker loves his daddy. He starts smiling and getting hyper whenever Rich walks in the room. He always thinks that Rich is playing a game with him. If Rich leaves the room, Parker thinks that it is because Rich is going to sneak up on him. He loves his daddy so much! I am so lucky to have such a great husband and dad to Parker.
Today was spent being the "one man show" for Father's Day in our ward. This meant (like Mother's day) that I was in charge of leading the primary kids in the song for Sacrament meeting, Rich was in charge of the presents for the dads (which basically meant I did it since he is so busy!), and I was in charge of the Father's Day primary sharing/singing time! Actually, it was fun and we got everything done. We ended up getting the fathers Dad's Rootbeer and a candy bar with a ribbon tied around them. Apparently, this was a success because people said that they should start this as a tradition. (Why is that men get the candy and women get the flowers??? Don't get me wrong, I love flowers....but the candy is aways a fun indulgence! Maybe I'll have to change the tradition for mothers!)
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

Well our ward stepped up to the occasion too -- the men got these gourmet brownies and chocolate chip cookies. Luckily there were enough left over that they went around the Relief Society too!
I laughed about Parker thinking everything is a game. He sounds like such a fun kid. We can't wait to see him again. Maybe Linc can sneak up on him and drool on him. :)
I think it's great that dad's become their kids best buddies. James absolutely adores Matt.
I like the idea of rootbeer and candy for the dads. Our budget is pretty tight so the dads tend to get whatever can be free - last year a booket that the church publishes and this year a paper father's day tie colored by the kids.
Our ward actually does candy for moms for mother's day. It great - kissables with a cute note this year.
Happy Father's Day :) Love the pics of Parker with the men in his life :)
Our ward gave out bookmarks - my hubby was definitely not impressed LOLOL He's was hoping for a mondo-symphony bar like the women got for Mother's Day :)

Parker is absolutely darling and that is not the only thing he has in common with my son! Just reading the bits that you wrote about him I think our boys would be best friends. Except they'd undoubtably start fighting over the remote control or some other piece of electronics!
