7 things about me!

I have been "tagged" as it is called in the blogging world...ahh the new things that I learn each day. My task: to list 7 things about myself. I just hope that I can think of things that I haven't mentioned before. So, here goes:

1. I love light! It drives me crazy to be in my house during the day if it is dark. I like to open all of the blinds, turn on the lights, and make sure that it is bright inside. It drives Rich crazy because often times he comes home and all of the lights are on. I think that I have to turn on more lights in my house because of the fact that there aren't lights in our ceilings and the floorlamps just don't provide enough light. I just love it to be bright!

2. One of my favorite Christmas presents was "Dance, Dance, Revolution." I finally found an x-box game that I think is fun. Living in our apartment, I don't play it very much (I worry about bothering the neighbors...so I only play when they aren't home). So, maybe I'll become an expert when we move. Ha ha!

3. I love to play games. Rich and I play games all of the time. I think that this obsession came from my family. We would play games to clean the house on Saturday mornings, play games on Sunday nights, and play games every New Year. We have boxes and boxes of games and love them! We always love learning new games (I even got 2 new games for my birthday!)

4. I love desserts. I know that this isn't unique - but it is definitely a guilty pleasure. My favorite desserts are cheesecake, fruit pizza, and homemade ice cream. I also love a white Reeses every once in awhile!

5. I am a crazy sleeper. I can fall asleep anywhere. I also walk and talk in my sleep. I mostly do this when I have a lot on my mind (the new school year was always a time for this!) Some things I have done in my sleep include - taking a bath in my clothes, walking to the stairs and sleeping upside down on the stairs, standing in the utility closet, taking apart a light fixture, and the countless conversations that I have had in my sleep. I was even grounded once for getting mad at my dad when I was asleep. (I think that this was one of the only times that I was ever grounded!)

6. I LOVE childrens' books. My mom always jokes that for us to go into a bookstore is like an alcoholic going into a liquor store. I just can't seem to escape without buying one book or another. That was one of the perks of being a teacher - I got a lot of fun books from the book orders! I'm already ready for another new bookshelf!

7. I am "addicted" to e-mail. I saw a news story about people who are addicted to e-mail. They check their e-mail first thing in the morning and right before they go to bed and several other times during the day. By this definition, I am definitely addicted.
