Train Park

Since we were supposed to be in California this weekend for the BYU-San Diego game, Rich had the whole time off. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go because of all of the fires. Instead, we decided to have some fun here in Phoenix. We managed to have a great weekend! On Friday, we enjoyed going to lunch with our friends Kent, Jodi, and Jackson. They happened to be in Arizona for the weekend, so it was great to see them.
Since we were already in Scottsdale for lunch, we decided to take Parker to the train park. This is a great little park that we discovered when Andrea came to visit last year. There is a fun train to ride, a merry-go-round, playgrounds, grass, and fun things to look at. Parker LOVED the train. He wanted to make sure to hold on to his Daddy the whole time, but he loved looking around at everything.

We loved playing at the playground...the swings and the slide are definitely the favorites. It seems like everytime I decide to put Parker in pants, it is way too HOT! You'd think that I would learn! Luckily, he cooled down in the mister at the park.

To end the day, we went on the Merry-Go-Round. Rich and I have made one decision about the Merry-Go-Round...we need to switch off who takes Parker on it. We both get a little sick on them, but we want Parker to get to go. Good thing that we let him go because he was so excited about it. It was hard to keep him still long enough to wait for his turn. He just stared and pointed at it. He loved touching the horse and waving to his daddy. We had a great time at the park and loved being able to spend time with Rich :)
