Day 4: Cleaning, Leaves, & Family Party
Saturday marked the beginning of the "Lisa" activities. Rich spent the morning playing football with his buddies and I helped my mom at her house. Growing up, it was common to do our jobs by playing games. We would play a game and then have to do a job by how we did in game. Winning was always a plus because you got first crack at the "good jobs." Sometimes this meant cleaning all day long, but at least we were having fun while we did it. So, we spent Saturday cleaning, cooking, & shopping. Part of my dad's job was to rake up the leaves. He made sure to make a nice pile for Parker to play in. We were excited to play in the leaves since we don't really get "Fall" in Arizona. Parker wasn't really sure what he thought - so I was lucky enough to jump in them with him!
Parker playing on the table...he LOVES tables & chairs that are just his size!

DADDY TIME!
Parker adores his Daddy! He loves being thrown in the air and playing. He's going to be sad when his daddy goes back to school!

FAMILY PARTY!
We had a family party on Saturday night with our extended family on both sides. Parker got lots of attention from all of his cousins. Maggie & Abbie wanted to take him everywhere they went. They just wanted him to be one of the gang. He was very interested in Ana and Dominic as well. He recognizes kids and grandmas and warms up to them very quickly. The first day that we were in Utah, he was a little unsure about what was going on. Then, Grandma Broadbent, Ana, and Dominic came over and he was as happy as can be. He LOVES them!

SLANTED CLOSET FUN
Parker learned a bunch of new things from all of the time that he spent with his cousins. He learned to go down the stairs backwards (since we don't have stairs at home). He learned how to climb up the slanted closet and slide down. He learned to play with more toys. He also learned that he could be brave and WALK more! He absolutely loved the slanted closet and sliding down! He even got the big kids to play with him :)
