UTAH (part 1)

We're back from our week long vacation to Utah. Rich is on 5 week break from school (his so-called one and only summer-break of pharmacy school), so we took the opportunity to go to Utah to see my little sister Lisa before she left on her mission. It was a crazy and fun-filled time. I had forgotten how much there is that goes on when someone goes on a mission...Parties, friends, dinners, packing, shopping, packing some more, visiting, farewell, and even more packing and unpacking! It was fun to be able to be up there with her and send her on her way for 18 months to Barcelona, Spain.

Rich especially loved this trip because he got to go to a Jazz game with his buddies, a BYU game with family, and even play some football on Saturday morning :) These are the things that he
misses most down here in Arizona, so he was glad that he was able to fit them in.

Day 1: Games, Packing, and Jazz game

Rich was excited to get to go to a game with his buddies...Scott, Judd, Dave, Rob, & Collin! Too bad Newman lives in Texas - one of these days all of the guys can get together :)

Day 2: Children's Museum
This is one my favorite things in Utah because Parker LOVES the museum. This was a must on my agenda and I was excited that we could go with my mom, Lisa, Mary (Nathan, Josh, Katelyn, & Elizabeth), and Andrea (Abbie & Ethan). Plus, I had to take Rich to the museum because he had never been!

BYU-TCU GAME
That night, my mom babysat and we went to the BYU-TCU game with Rich's family. We enjoyed eating at California Pizza Kitchen before the game and seeing a great game.
Plus, I got to see my friend Martha and Adam at the game and visit with them :) It was fun to be back in the stadium and cheer our Cougars on!

DAY 3
On Friday, my sister Rachel flew in from California for the weekend. We spent Friday playing games, visiting, and helping Lisa. Friday night, we went out to dinner with our friends Lance & Elaina and Dave & Emily. We went to a fun little restaurant at the mouth of Cottonwood Canyon called Porcupine Pub & Grille. Delicious!
