Christmas with the Tates

We had a great day opening stockings, opening presents at my parents house, visiting my Grandma's and eating way too much food, & playing with all of our new things. Ever since Parker got his own stocking, he has really begun to understand what candy is. By golly, if hhe was given candy, he is going to eat it. So, we now have ourselves a little candyholic. I keep the candy up high and out of sight because it becomes an obsession for him.
Parker's first present that he was given was a lawn mower from his Aunt Heidi and Uncle Derek. He thought that this was great - so many new fun things to push! After that, presents were not needed because he had his fun. Every now and then, he would come to open something new. I gave Rich the movie "Transformers" and to go along with it, I wrapped up his transformers that he had from when he was little (thanks Linda for finding those!) I thought that it added a little bit of fun to the present.

Becca, Your digital scrapbooking is ADORABLE. So do you just have all of them printed at a photo shop? Then you have blogging and scrapbooking done in one shot. I think I am going to start doing that. I am still slow at digiscrapping though... yea I still in front of the computer for hours :) really... and don't have much to show for it, I am still experimenting.

Digital scrapbooking info...I have had a few pages printed. So far, I have found Costco is the cheapest. I do 12x12 pages and they are 2.99 a piece. I thought that they did a pretty good job - I keep hoping that I'll find a cheaper price - but 2.99 isn't too bad if you consider the money you would have spent for paper, embellishments, printing pictures, etc.

Funny how you say that it still takes a long time - sometimes I feel like the more I learn, the more time I spend because I want to do so much more. I'm not sure if that is a good thing, but I am learning a lot :) It definitely takes some experimenting. I've followed tutorials, checked out books from the library, and got a lot of help from my sister. The best thing for me is all the sites that I have found that have great things. I find new sites all of the time :)

I love that you gave Rich his old transformers. Matt wishes now that he still had his.
