Nate's Wedding

On the 19th, Rich's friend Nate got married in the Mesa Temple. It was very convenient for us that he met a girl from Arizona so that we could actually go to his wedding. Otherwise, it would have been difficult with Rich's school and work schedule. Our friends Dave and Emily came to stay with us and we enjoyed a great weekend together.

Saturday: The Wedding

We left Parker with our friends Matt and Angie and went to the wedding, luncheon, & even got some shopping done in between! It was a great day and we are so happy for them!

Sunday: Games, Games, Games

We normally play games on Sunday nights with friends. We learned a fun new game (sounds dumb, but it was really fun)....the pen game. I'll try to explain. Each person has a piece of papere. There is also one pen and one dice (for the table). The pen starts in the middle of the table. You then take turns rolling the dice (go in a circle). If you roll a 1 or 6, you take the pen from the middle of the table and start writing in order the numbers 1-100. The goal is to be the first person to reach 100. However, as soon as the next person rolls a 1 or 6, they steal the pen from you and start writing on their own piece of paper. The game goes pretty fast as you try to steal the pen quickly so that other people can't reach 100 first. It was really a fun game. We did come away with a few battle wounds - but some good times!

Monday: Captain Bills, The Science Center (Titanic Exhibit), Dinner at Santisi Brothers, DDR, Karoke Revolution, wii & more Games!

We had a busy Monday (as it was Martin Luther King Day and Rich had the day off!) We enjoyed lunch at Captain Bill's (great subs!). Then, we went to the Science Center. We started at the Titanic Exhibit. It was really cool to see artifacts from the Titanic. Each visitor was given a ticket with an actual passenger's name on it. At the end of the exhibit, you were able to find if they survived. I really enjoyed this. We spent another hour or so looking around the museum. The boys especially loved playing with the water exhibit outside. I guess that we never need to grow up!

We had pizza for dinner and then enjoyed another night of fun. I even got everyone to do a little Karaoke revolution - although if I posted video I would be in HUGE trouble. So, a picture will have to do!

love the pic's from the wedding - those big cactus's were so cool! Also - is that Titanic exhibit still going, that sounds awesome - kind of similar with the card and everything to the Holocaust museum in DC. Fun times.
