Crayons and Tile

Yesterday, my sister Heidi called me wondering how to get pen out of a leather couch. Her one year old had gone to town on her couch. As I was sympathizing with her, I thought to myself that Parker hadn't really ever tried using pen, marker, or crayon on anything besides paper. Those are always dangerous thoughts to have - the knock on wood type of thoughts. I guess that I brought today's art project upon myself by thinking that...

Today, I was on the phone with my friend Martha who I hadn't talked to in ages. I noticed Parker laying down on the tile in the hall, but didn't think much of it. He was being quiet and allowing me to talk to my friend. What I didn't realize was that he was creating a masterpiece on the tile.

***Don't worry Mike and Jamie, your floor is fine...Thank goodness for washable crayons because it wiped up right away! Thankfully, I now know that I have a little artist on my hands and can watch out for future catastrophes!

Parker is so cute Bex, I miss you guys! I am so happy we are coming back to Phoenix in the Fall and now that Lance is a bit older, it will be fun to see them play and interact a little more. Love the little artist in Parker - good thing he was coloring with crayons and not sharpies!

I love the pictures of Parker cleaning up his mess. Way to teach him while he's young!

You definitely jinxed yourself! I love that you made a scrapbook page out if it to memorialize it. It was great to talk to you.

Hey, your sister was up at bear lake last weekend (I guess she's good friends with my sister, I didn't know!) and it was fun to meet her and her cute family! They were SO nice to let us come on their boat on Friday and go surfing :) That's the funnest thing. Totally new to me. Anyway, looks like you guys are doing well. Your little boy is so darling and I love your digital scrapbooking!! I really want to get into that.
