Breaking Dawn

On August 1st (or 2nd since it was midnight), I joined the MADNESS - and yes, I emphasize MADNESS and went to a Breaking Dawn Party. My friend Ang wanted to go and get her book that night, so we didn't want her to go to the ghetto alone...We got our arms painted and got pictures taken while we waited until midnight to get the books.

My verdict: I liked it. I was drawn into the plot and enjoyed the different twists that book took. I was surprised that I liked these books because I am not usually one for this genre. However, my opinion on books doesn't count for much because anyone who knows me, knows that I won't remember it in 2 weeks. Ha ha! I definitely wouldn't be a good book critic!
I have heard so many different reviews on the book that I thought that I would give a few thoughts from my friends:

"Book 4 was the best - my favorite of them all" - Ang

"I think that Stephenie Meyer watched a little too much of the sci-fi channel and then dropped acid before writing the book" -Amanda

"The best part of this book is that Bella FINALLY became a {semi} strong character, instead of a weak sap without a spine or a brain. Some parts of the plot were certainly strange, but I still found myself riveted to the story and I enjoyed it more and more as I got to the end." - Heidi

"I loved it! I am sad that this is the end of the series and I really hope she explores more of the Cullens and their vampire friends." - Jinii
So, there are a few thoughts from friends...to all of those avid readers, what did you think???

I liked it-A year ago someone actually suggested the basic outline of this plot to me as a possible ending and I thought they were crazy-sure enough that is how Stephenie Meyer decided to end it. She did a good job.

I liked the book. It was entertaining and gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling as the book ended. But at the same time I think it was a little sappy and I'm a little bugged by Jacob's fairy tale ending (just a little too weird if you ask me).

I liked it - I think it was my favorite. My one daughter thought it was great, and the other thought it was predictable (although she's read each of the previous books at least 3 times each - so maybe she's a little too critical ;) We stood in line at midnight in St. George to get them for the girls, and then I stayed up til 5 a.m. reading it ;)
