Jazz vs. Suns Game

Not quite tall enough yet...

We took Parker to his first NBA game - we were excited because we found a great deal on tickets to the Jazz vs. Suns Game (apparently...it's all about waiting until the last minute...being December probably helped too!) We tried our hardest to get Parker to cheer for the Jazz, but until we leave Phoenix - I am afraid that he is destined to be a SUNS fan. Why??? Because it is much more fun to cheer with the majority of the crowd :)

Parker loved the basketball game and kept clapping his hands, cheering, and saying basketball...it was definitely a fun game to take him too. Near the end of the game, he started getting tired and kept saying "I'm finished." Apparently, he just wanted to go to bed...that would be my fault though. I had to learn an important lesson again - NEVER tell Parker that we are going to do something fun after naptime. Parker laid in bed for about 20-30 minutes and then woke up yelling "Basketball game." I guess he didn't understand the whole idea of taking a good nap. I tried and tried and tried to get him to go back to bed, but to no avail. I then had to spend the rest of the afternoon keeping him distracted from the fact that we had to wait a few hours before going to the game. He took what I said literally and thought we would go to the game RIGHT after naptime. One of these times, I'll learn my lesson :) He still loved the game, but just let me know that he was "finished" during the 4th quarter!

All in all, the game was a blast and we had a great time with our friends Morty, Angie, Katie, & Josh (even if the Jazz did lose)...At least Parker's team won, right?
