Spring Training: Mariners vs. Angels

Spring Training means one thing...it must be March (at least on my blog!) One of our favorite things about living down here has been going to all of the sporting events...if that isn't obvious from my blog. While I might not be thrilled about watching a game on tv, I am always up for GOING to a game. So, when Rich got out of rotation early, we jumped at the idea of going to a game. We packed a lunch and headed to the game...only to realize that the internet was wrong about the time and we were an early. While we were waiting, we tried to think of any friends that might also have a weekday afternoon off...We were thrilled that the Westenskows could meet us at the game.

We got lawn seats and let Parker and Evi run around the whole time while we enjoyed a nice day watching the game. I am quickly learning that Parker is losing his shy streak as I watched him play with all of the kids on the grass. He sat down with one boy and started looking at a magazine, played ball with a bunch of other kids, and even learned how to roll down the hill. It was a great way to watch the game because he could run around and we could relax!

Is this his game face or something???
Waiting to catch the ball

Our little lounger...
He thought that this was really fun because he is laying on his ball. He also kept putting the blanket over his head to "go to sleep..." Afterall, it was during naptime!
Rolling up and down the hill
Parker watched several kids rolling down the hill and decided to try. He was most successful rolling up the hill...but either way, he thought that this a great activity

Gotta love Spring Training!
