Meeting Sister Tate at the Airport

After a long few days of packing, loading, traveling, unloading, and house hunting, we headed up to Salt Lake. Our goal was to be able to be there in time to see my sister Lisa at the airport coming home from her mission. She was supposed to arrive around midnight, so when we left St. George at about 8:00, we didn't think that we would make it. However, her plane was delayed several times. Each time I called to get an update, it was a little later. For me this was good news because I really wanted to be at the airport for her. We ended up getting to Salt Lake around 1:00 A.M. By this point, her plane had been delayed until about 3:00 A.M., so we stopped at Andrea's house to drop off our belongings and I left Rich there with Parker.

I drove to the airport with my Aunt Elaine and met Mary and Dean there. So, our whole welcoming crowd was pretty small...Elaine, Mary, Dean, Me, & Braden. {mind you, Lisa had been released from her mission for about 3 weeks...she had gone to see my parents in Canada, my sister in New York, and my brothers in D.C.} We still wanted to give her a proper welcoming though and even had signs and balloons! She even stopped and put a skirt on before seeing us just for the "picture moment" of coming home from her mission. Gotta love her! Welcome home Lisa!!!

I'm glad she had a small crowd since it was 3 a.m! Wish I could have come...
