Gingerbread Houses part 2

Part 2, you ask? Definitely. A few days after we made gingerbread houses as a family, Parker's little friends Michael and Savannah came over to play. When Michael saw the gingerbread houses, he immediately asked if we could make one. I had a pre-made gingerbread kit that we hadn't used, so I decided to let them work together to create a large gingerbread house. They had a great time and it was fun to see them giggle as they worked together to create the house.

On a tangent, I must admit, this age is pretty fun. One funny thing that I have found about 3 and 4 year olds is if you do something with them once - they want to make a tradition...that's just the way it is. Michael has come over many times since and asked to make another gingerbread house. We haven't done that one yet...but I do find myself playing the same games (red light, green light and hide n' go seek) whenever he comes over. Parker is the same the way though...when he goes to their house there are a few "musts" on his list: ride bikes, jump on the tramp, and dig in the sandbox. It is fun to see what they associate with other peoples' houses.
