Countdown to Christmas

One of my favorite memories of Christmas from my childhood is what we called "candle." Each night we lit an advent candle and while it burned the amount for the day, we sang songs and read Christmas stories. I now love doing it with my own kids. I think what I love most is that it reminds us to stop and take a break in our hectic schedules to be together each night during the Christmas season. On December 1st, we got our new candle for the year and a new Christmas book.
