Body World

On Thursday, we went to the Arizona Science Museum. I love science museums because there is so much to learn and experiment with. We loved playing with the simple machines (including the pulleys to pull ourselves up). We tried the experiment for babies to see if Parker would keep crawling even though the optical illusion made it look like there was a drop. He stopped the first time, but since the world is a drum to Parker - he soon figured out that there was plastic and he wouldn't fall. We enjoyed wheelchair races, reflex testing, and mind games. It is fascinating to learn about the world around us! By far, the most impressive part of the museum was the special exhibit called "Body World." I was a little worried about seeing real bodies, but it turned out to be incredible. These bodies had been plasticized so that we could see what our bodies really look like on the inside. We were able to see bones, veins, muscles, organs, etc. I couldn't help but marvel on how incredible the human body really is. There are so many intricate little parts and it was very cool to see this!
