This morning I was convinced by Erika and Nicole to get out of bed early and hike our "mountain" here in Glendale. Really, it is more like a hill since it took less than an hour to get to the top. Perfect kind of hike for me (especially since I brought Parker along in the carrier). Since the only time of day that it is even remotely cool, we started hiking at 6:45 AM. I've realized that I am definitely getting more used to the heat because when I woke up this morning I thought it was pleasantly cool outside (and it was already 94 degrees!) But when you haven't felt it this cool in a couple of months, it feels great :)
It was well worth getting out of bed for. It was a fun hike with great friends. Parker was perfect. Who wouldn't be though? I mean really, you get carried all the way up and down the mountain. He even managed to take a nap on the way down. I guess the hiking made him all tuckered out! I am excited to try some more hikes out!

I think I hiked that "mountain". It looks like fun.
It sounds like a fun outing. What a great view. I didn't realize there was so much water around there.
Ohhh - love the pics!!! And - that sounds like the perfect kind of hike for me too!!!
We hiked in Zion's over the weekend - and that was pretty dang fun too :)
