Would you, could you?

Parker loves me to read to him. He is constantly wanting me to read him book after book (and often times the same book over and over again!) Sound familiar to anyone? He is starting to be more interactive with the reading by pointing to things in the books and saying familiar words. For example, when we were reading "The Jungle Book," he said banana and pointed to them. He also made the sounds for a tiger and a snake each time that he saw them. It is fun to see him notice new things and find new words and sounds.

Today, he discovered a new book that he likes. Rich was reading him "Green Eggs and Ham." Each time there was a question, Parker would respond with answer.
R. "Would you could you in a house?"
P. "No."
R. "Would you could you with a mouse?"
P. "No."
This went on for the whole book...He definitely understood that these were questions. Now that he has discovered this about the book, he is anxious to read it over and over again so that he can respond "no." Maybe this will be our book that we read over and over again (until another new book is found!) Until then, happy reading!
