Diamondbacks Fan!

Parkers loves his Yankees hat and learned how to say "Yankees" when we were at the Angels vs. Yankees Game. Whenever he sees his hat, he says Yankees. So, we decided to go to a Diamondbacks Game last week and Rich decided that Parker needed to learn how to say "Diamondbacks" for the game. I went out and bought us shirts and got him all excited for the game. When he saw the shirt, he wanted to take his own shirt off right then and there in the middle of the store. Luckily, I held him off until the parking lot before needing to put the shirt on.

Then, we went home and talked about baseball and played baseball. We even played outside just waiting for Rich to get home. (Note to self...never tell a 2 year old that you are going to a baseball game unless you are going at that moment). All day, he wanted to go. He kept saying "Baseball Game."

We had a great time at the game with our friends Angie and Morty. Parker was actually good the whole time and loved watching the game - much better than the last game we went to ;)

We knew that he had a fun time at the game, but it wasn't until today (a week later) that we realized that he knew what the Diamondbacks were. This morning, we were putting away some laundry and he saw Rich's shirt. All of the sudden, he shouted "Diamondbacks" and immediately wanted his D-Backs hat. It was fun to hear such a long word! So, here we have our little D-backs and Yankees fan...he's now chosen his 2 teams in baseball!
