Merry Christmas!

Dear Friends and Family…

Merry Christmas...e-style! Since those of you reading my blog probably follow my life more than most, much of this won't be anything new...but it is a glimpse into the Bishop Christmas Card 2008 :)

It is hard to believe that Christmas is so quickly approaching. This is probably because Christmas as I have always known consists of cold weather, snow, parties, and being surrounded by family and friends. This will definitely be a new experience to spend Christmas at home with our small family of three. We have enjoyed starting many of our treasured Christmas traditions with Parker including lighting the candle, singing songs, and reading Christmas books. He is slowly starting to catch on to the idea of Christmas and even “talks” to Santa on the phone everyday. Christmas with a child truly brings on a new joy.

Another year has flown by and we have definitely had some fun experiences. The highlights were definitely our fun vacations because this meant that Rich actually had time off. We traveled to Washington, Texas, California, & New York. We also discovered Sedona and enjoyed taking a few different day trips up to this area. We have loved having a few visitors come see us and would love to have more before we move next summer! Our major news of this year is that we are expecting another baby BOY in May 2009. Parker will definitely make a great big brother to the baby!

Rich is now officially finished with all of has class work for Pharmacy School. The next six months, he will be completing his rotations at various pharmacy sites. This definitely keeps him busy by working about 65 hours a week. Somehow, in all of this, he manages to find time to spend time at home (even if it means lack of sleep). He also knows how to have fun and has enjoyed supporting our Arizona teams by going to Diamondbacks, Cardinals, & and Suns games this past year. (Even if he is cheering for the Jazz!) He is excited to graduate in June and have a little more time to enjoy the things that he loves.

Becca continues to love staying home with Parker and getting to him new things all of the time. She has tackled many new projects this year in digital scrapbooking, crafts, and activities with Parker. Most of her days are spent entertaining a 2 year old at the library, music classes, children’s museum, zoo, or with friends. It is definitely an enjoyable way to spend a day…oh if we could all be 2 again!

Parker has definitely changed the most this year and truly become a little boy. His favorite things these days are cars, stuffed animals, Curious George, books, yellow, & kids. The most important thing on his Christmas list is “yellow car” and he makes sure to tell Santa that everyday! He is beginning to have a wonderful imagination and makes everything more exciting.

It’s hard to believe that 2008 is coming to an end. We have had a very memorable year and are excited to bring in all of the new adventures that 2009 has to offer with a new baby, graduation, moving, and a new job. It will be an eventful year!

We love you all and wish you a Merry Christmas!

Hey Becca! Congrats on the 2nd baby boy. We will now both have boys around the same age. I am expecting my baby boy in March. And oddly enough... we're naming him Parker.
